Last 24 July 2024, Bluebird and Riye Arai-Coupe proudly took part in the Property Council Academy's "Girls in Property Day," an inspiring event designed to showcase the diverse career paths available within the property industry to high school students. As passionate advocates for diversity and the advancement of women in property and construction, Bluebird and Riye were thrilled to lend their support to this fantastic initiative.
The Girls in Property program is all about fostering a more diverse talent pipeline by encouraging young women to explore careers in property. Since its national rollout in 2018, following a successful pilot in NSW in 2017, the program has engaged over 1,500 students. It offers a unique chance for students to gain valuable insights into the industry, hear from leaders about potential careers and challenges, and discover the wide array of jobs on offer.
During the event, students learned about the crucial role the property industry plays in Australia's social and economic development. They also had the opportunity to attend site tours of new developments, providing a hands-on look at the exciting projects shaping our communities.
Riye Arai-Coupe, the Founder and Managing Director of Bluebird, shared her inspiring journey and experiences, encouraging and empowering the next generation of female property professionals. Her dedication reflects Bluebird's steadfast support for fostering an inclusive work environment and advocating for gender equality in industries where women are traditionally underrepresented.
